Blackberry Limeade
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cooking Time: none

This refreshing limeade is a real treat on a warm summer evening. It can be enjoyed on its own but I especially like it once it’s mixed with a light, sparkling wine. The juicy blackberries pair perfectly with the mouth-puckering limes.

- 2 cup(s) frozen blackberries
- 1 cup(s) fresh lime juice (from 10 limes)
- 3/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
- 4 cup(s) cold water
- ice
- 1/2 bottle sweet white wine, like Muscato (optional)
- To make a blackberry syrup, blend 1 cup of frozen blackberries with 1 tablespoon of water in a blender or food processor. Once blended, strain the frozen blackberry syrup and discard the seeds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the fresh squeezed lime juice, sugar, cold water, blackberry syrup and ice. Stir together with a spatula until the sugar is dissolved.
- Float the remaining cup of frozen blackberries in the pitcher.
- Serve as is or add 2 cups of sweet white wine to make an alcoholic spritzer.
