It worked!

(This is a comment on Nourish Yourself)

I was amazed--I'm keeping these tips in mind throughout the chagim, and it's really affecting the way I eat. Especially the idea of making one meal light and the other a splurge--all I had for dinner the second night of Rosh Hashanah was soup, and I was completely full! I also drank lots of water and had meals all over the city, so walking was a big part of the holiday, and it felt great.

I'd like to add one more tip: Don't eat dessert for breakfast. It's SO easy to nosh on last night's dessert when it's sitting out on the table, or to eat babka for breakfast (it's CAKE!!!). Start your morning off with something nutritious and you'll feel better the rest of the day. And if you're waiting to make kiddush, try to make it over something healthy (eat the egg salad instead of the marble cake). That way you'll have room for lunch, and you also won't go running into the meal starving.
