Sleep While You Can

Until you have been without sleep for several months in a row, it's difficult to appreciate the power of a good night's sleep. I know people laugh at me and say, "Wait 'til you actually have kids," but in the meantime I'll take as much sleep as I can get and I never slept as well as I did with the Back 'N Belly Body Pillow.

It supports your front and back and accomodates you as you move around. It does take up most of the bed, but I think everyone in my family agrees that my significantly reduced level of crankiness is worth it. [read on...]

I found it online at OneStepAhead.com while I was looking for a maternity pillow. It got rave reviews and I was sold. (Sold enough to tell my mom that this would be a great early Chanukah present.) It was $69.95 plus shipping, and the first night I tried it I knew it was one of the best decisions I'd ever made.

I still woke up multiple times to use the loo, but I fell back asleep immediately and slept deeply. I did agree with one user's comment that the pillowcase was a little itchy, so I took her advice and wrapped the pillow in a sheet, which worked fine. Eventually the itchiness wore off. The only other issue I had was that I found that the head support to be a little high, but I just rolled part of a blanket under my neck, which balanced everything out.

I've recommended this pillow to every pregnant person I meet and wish you many good-nights'-sleep, with or without the pillow!
